This policy explains how the "Duyen" dating app ("we", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Profile information: name, display name, birthdate, gender, bio, occupation, education, height, values, interests, and other fields you fill in your profile.
Photos: profile photos and identity-verification selfies.
Location: your current GPS location, used to match you with nearby users.
Identity verification (KYC) data: either a selfie-verification (matched against a stored facial reference for anti-impersonation purposes only) or a linked social profile (Facebook/LinkedIn).
Fortune / astrology data: birth date, birth time, and birth place, used to generate your daily horoscope and "Quẻ Duyên" fortune readings. You can choose whether this data is used in matching.
Chat & messages: messages, photos, and voice notes sent through the app, stored via Firebase Firestore.
Payment information: Premium subscriptions are processed via the App Store / Google Play. We do not receive or store your card details — these are handled entirely by Apple/Google.
Device information: push-notification tokens, language, and timezone.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Improve match quality (compatibility scoring, AI-generated compatibility notes)
- Verify identity and prevent fake accounts / impersonation
- Power chat and notification features
- Manage Premium subscription features
- Investigate abuse reports and blocked-user activity
- Improve the service and fix issues
3. Third-Party Sharing
We use Firebase (Google) to store chat data, and Apple/Google to process payments. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, except where required by law.
4. Identity Verification (KYC) Data
Facial data collected during selfie verification is used solely to prevent impersonation and is stored in a protected environment. It may be retained for a period after review to prevent repeat abuse.
5. Your Rights
- View and edit your profile information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Choose whether your fortune/astrology data is used in matching
- Turn push notifications on or off

6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
7. Minors
The app is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
